The Bronco’s of Western Michigan basketball may have earned themselves consideration for an at-large NCAA Tournament bid next season given their schedule. That of course is depended on if they are able to compete in those games.
On Tuesday, Western Michigan announced that they would play Gonzaga on November 26th in Spokane Washington. Not only does this add another marquee name to the Broncos’ schedule, but it also gives the school a $90,000 dollar payday. Something that definitely goes a long way for a mid-major school. In addition to Gonzaga, Western Michigan will also play Duke on December 30th and participate in the Puerto Rico Tip-off which runs from November 17th to November 20th.
As it sits for the Broncos in the beginning of August they will take on South Dakota State, Oakland and Detroit, and home games with Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Southern Illinois (Dec. 11) and Duquesne, which begins a home-and-home series.
