Western Michigan is currently at a pivotal point in their season.

On one hand a victory over Eastern Michigan this weekend could mean a shot at a third bowl appearance for the Broncos in six years. On the other hand a loss to Eastern Michigan could mean a sub-.500 record (28-29) since 2006.

Last weekend Western Michigan took a bad road loss to Northern Illinois in which they allowed 697 total yards (494 rushing). This left head coach Billy Cubit anxious to get his team back on the field.

“It was very disappointing,” Cubit said of the loss. “We have to regroup to get ready for a really good Eastern Michigan team. They are playing at a real high level of intensity.”

Going into this weekend won’t be an easy task for the Broncos either. They’re playing an Eastern Michigan team that’s certainly not like any other Eastern Michigan team of the past several years. The Eagles are certainly capable of taking this game from the Broncos.
