Detroit City FC played its first-ever double-header this past Saturday. The men’s team defeated the Birmingham Legion FC 1-0 after Maxi Rodriguez’s first-half goal gave DCFC a second straight win in USL Championship league play.
Meanwhile, the women’s team took center stage later in the evening but lost to Kalamazoo FC 1-0. City responded well to the early KZoo tally but was unable to break through a strong Kalamazoo defense.
