The world already had a good idea that Barstool founder Dave Portnoy was a huge piece of shit. The guy is a misogynist who runs Barstool like some fucking frat house that appeals to the lowest common denominator, or stoolies as they like to call them.
The extent of Portnoy’s douchebaggery, however, went to an entirely different level Monday when it was learned that Ringer writers would be forming a union. Portnoy’s response to this news was retweeting a “little refresher” on how he feels about unions in general which was nothing more than a citation from a USA Today article and his bitchy, pretentious, follow up where of which he states that at he would “smash to smithereens” any union that Barstool employees were looking to start.

Portnoy’s response to all of this was typical of some fratboy shithead as he doubled down by challenging AOC to a debate while also cozying up to the likes of Donald Trump, Jr.
So not only is Portnoy going to take a dump on unions and issue threats to any Barstool employee looking to start one, but now he’s going to embrace an ally like Donald Trump, Jr.? You could probably connect the dots when it came to Portnoy’s politics before this when he would regularly pander and make friends with a bigot like Tucker Carlson.
This is that new level though.
But as the higher-ups in Barstool continue to rub Portnoy’s back — perhaps even at their own expense — there’ something very real to be said about all of this. Even as the Barstool founder continues to portray the whole idea of a union as some big fucking joke and/or ploy to promote the skidmark that is Barstool Sports.
