Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was reinstated by the league this past Monday after serving a two week suspension for stomping on Packers guard Evan Dietrich-Smith during the annual Thanksgiving Day Game from Ford Field.
Wednesday the Lions returned to the practice field to prepare for Oakland this coming Sunday. Wednesday also marked the first day that Ndamukong Suh would be available to the media after a controversial two week suspension that included a car crash in his hometown of Portland, Oregon.
As he was making the media rounds, he did his weekly radio interview with Lions flagship station 97.1FM’s Mike Valenti and Terry Foster.
During the interview he was unwilling to to answer any questions regarding the aftermath of the stomp or the car crash he was involved in during his suspension.

Now as much as Lions fans may want Suh to open up, he certainly has the right to keep a closed lid on the situations at hand. In fact he may be under direction by the Lions organization and his Lawyers to not answer questions, especially those pertaining to the car crash. However, he was presented with an opportunity today to repair what is becoming a tarnished image in the eyes of not only the fans but the entire NFL. It’s understandable if he was given a gag order so to speak but he could’ve come across a lot better if he at least apologized to the fans for missing the last two weeks, especially when those two weeks can determine whether or not the Lions make it into the playoffs.
