Angels

Great news Angels fans, Arte Moreno is apparently exploring options to possibly sell the team hopefully ending an era of futility that has run rampant within the organization for the past decade.

“It has been a great honor and privilege to own the Angels for 20 seasons. As an Organization, we have worked to provide our fans an affordable and family-friendly ballpark experience while fielding competitive lineups which included some of the game’s all-time greatest players.”

“Although this difficult decision was entirely our choice and deserved a great deal of thoughtful consideration, my family and I have ultimately come to the conclusion that now is the time. Throughout this process, we will continue to run the franchise in the best interest of our fans, employees, players, and business partners.”

Moreno has been the owner since 2003 when he bought the team from Disney for a cool $180 million the year after they won the World Series. Since then the franchise has made the playoffs six times but has been a postseason ghost since 2014. This all includes potentially wasting the entire career of one of the greatest players to ever step foot on the diamond in Mike Trout with Shohei Ohtani’s career trajectory in LA following that same path.

Seriously though, this is possibly massive news when you consider shitty owners never seem to want to sell. Typically they have some nonsensical notion that they’re going to turn a profit while maintaining their grip on the team as fans wallow in their own self-hate for continuing to waste their time with said shitty franchise.
