No. 2 overall pick for the Oklahoma City Thunder Chet Holmgren will miss his entire rookie season after suffering a Lisfranc injury to his right foot this past Saturday during a Pro-Am game in Seattle.

Here’s Woj with the details

The injury apparently occurred when Holmgren was trying to defend against this LeBron drive where of which you can see the rookie hobbling after the bucket.

But is there a large cause for concern here other than Holmgren missing out on the entirety of his first professional season? This considering the trouble bigs have had with foot injuries throughout their careers?

Maybe?

It’s certainly one of those wait-and-see types of injuries considering the player and position. However, some solace can potentially be taken with Thunder fans considering this is the first time ever he’s suffered any type of major injury.
