The Michigan Stars took advantage of a shorthanded Maryland Bobcats squad to take a 2-0 victory tonight from the rented Barnabo Field in Romeo, Michigan.

Michigan opened the scoring in the 2’ after Vasilios Zogos converted a penalty to give the Stars an early 1-0 lead. However, tempers flared in the 18’ when Josselin Possian was shown a red card for a dangerous challenge which also resulted in Maryland captain Richard Forka being handed his second yellow and subsequent red for dissent in the 22’.

The two-man advantage though for Michigan didn’t last long as Anthony Bowie was shown a straight red when he went cleats up on the Maryland keeper.

The Stars would eventually capitalize on the man advantage when Zogos netted his second of the night at the 45’+3 mark.

The Stars managed to tweet through the entire match… respect

The Stars are a petty bunch or at least whomever runs the club’s Twitter account — which we suspect is a Juncaj family member.

Anyways, you know the Stars are a deeply serious club whenever they fall behind and their Twitter updates all of a sedentary fall silent.

NOT TONIGHT THOUGH!

It was a smooth sailing night for that Stars admin who went the full 90-plus stoppage time with the updates for Juncaj nation.

However, as we scroll through these jubilant Michigan updates, there’s still no word on the feed as to what happens to head coach Trevor Banks. Odd…
