Magic Johnson who was mentioned by name by Donald Sterling in his alleged racist tirade for showing up on Sterling’s girlfriends Instagram account made an appearance on NBA Countdown to address the situation.

Magic, who was quite emotional got right to the point saying simply Sterling shouldn’t own a team anymore.

I believe once commissioner Silver does all his due diligence and gathers the information, he has to come down hard. He shouldn’t own the team anymore, and he should stand up and say ‘I don’t want to own a team anymore.

Prior to his appearance on Countdown Magic took to Twitter saying he’d no longer attend a Clippers game if Sterling was still the owner.

Jalen Rose, who sits on the NBA Countdown panel also weighed in calling Sterling an “ignorant racist bigot” during the ABC Halftime show.

Yep, they’re both right too.

Bottom line though NBA commissioner Adam Silver is in a touch spot. How do you force out an NBA owner, not to mention a stubborn one at that? Perhaps the thought of no-one wanting to play for the Clippers down the line is enough. Especially considering LA head coach Doc Rivers saying he’s unsure if Sterling could say anything to make him want to come back and coach his team next season.
