Two way lineman Brandon Clemons from Milford Pennsylvania has announced that he will sign with Michigan State on February 2nd. Clemons, who is 6-foot-3, 265 pounds was also considering Boston College out of the ACC and Connecticut out of the Big East.
Rivals.com ranks Clemons as a four star recruit on a five star scale and according to Greg Johnson of the Grand Rapids Press he is the number 3 recruit out of Pennsylvania, the number 143 player in the country and the number 6 offensive guard recruit.
“I just committed to Michigan State tonight,” Clemons told Scout.com Sunday night. “I was actually going to go to Boston College until my official visit to Michigan State (Jan. 15-16), and after that visit I was just so comfortable with Michigan State that ended up having my head spinning. Then, I sat down last night and talked to my family and coach and ended up knowing I wanted to be a Spartan.”
Johnson says that according to Rivals.com, Clemons liked MSU head coach Mark Dantonio’s personality.
“I loved the way he talked to me,” Clemons said. “When I went there, it just felt right. I loved the school.”
Mark Dantonio and Michigan State now has 20 verbal commitments as they head into National Signing Day on February 2nd. According to Rivals.com, Clemons is State’s second best recruit behind Detroit linebacker Lawrence Thomas.
