With all the Ndamdi Asomugha talk surrounding the Lions, the team is still very much in need of an inside and outside linebacker for the upcoming NFL season.

According to Mike O’Hara of FoxSportsDetroit.com, two guys that the Lions may be targeting are Stephen Tulloch of Tennessee and Justin Durant of Jacksonville.

O’Hara believes that Durant may be higher on the list than Tulloch considering Durant’s athleticism and flexibility to play both inside and outside linebacker. Tulloch is limited to only the middle linebacker position.

Tulloch however does have the advantage scheme-wise since he’s worked under Schwartz’s system when Schwartz was a defensive coordinator with the Titans.

These two moves definitely seem more reasonable and more responsible of the Lions than going out and signing a high priced corner like Asomugha. You fill two positions of need with money left over.
