According to Jon Paul Morosi, the Tigers have inquired on Padres third baseman Chase Headley but there is apparently no momentum in trade talks as of right now. MLBTradeRumors.com’s Zach Links says that several other teams including the Chicago Cubs and Colorado Rockies have also been interested in Headley.

As the Tigers continue to weigh their third base options and potential options, Headley, 27 is set to earn about $3 million dollars in arbitration. The Padres have reportedly been asking a lot in return for Headley especially considering the weak third base market this off-season.
