Depending on who you ask we have happier times gone by as the Detroit Lions selected Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh with the 2nd overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.
So what was the result? Some jersey sales, three All-Pro selections, a couple of playoff appearances and ultimately plenty of broken hearts when Suh found his way down to Miami.
But wait the Lions get a 3rd round compensatory pick…
