For every day the Detroit Red Wings don’t announce that they’ll raise the No. 91 to the rafters of the LCA, it’s a slap in the face to the greatest Russian player to ever set foot on the ice.
Hey the birthday well wishes are nice but how about you honor arguably one of the top five players the organization has ever had the privilege of calling it’s own by finally immortalizing Sergei Fedorov officially.
Fedorov is certainly better than Pavel Datsyuk, is a better two way player than Alexander Ovechkin and quite frankly Red Kelly would need to ask permission to sniff Fedorov’s jock because his numbers in now way, shape or form compare to that of No. 91’s. Oh yeah, and Kelly is having his No. 4 retired by the team this season.
What a fucking disgrace.
