In the wake of the vastly unpopular Quandre Diggs trade, the Lions have signed former Raiders defensive back Marcus Gilchrist to attempt to fill the void.

A 16-game starter last season for Oakland, Gilchrist had previously worked out for Tampa Bay and Indianapolis but hadn’t been able to land a deal in 2019 up until now.

As far as that Diggs trade goes, fans and players alike are probably still trying to make sense of it considering they just signed him to a three-year contract extension a little over a year ago and paid out $6.6 million dollars in bonus associated with is deal.

Perhaps the savings on a Diggs for Gilchrist swap is setting something else up or maybe the Lionization of Bob Quinn is finally complete.
