J.C. Jackson is heading back to the New England Patriots.

Wednesday, the Chargers and Pats agreed to a deal that would send the veteran corner back to where it all started for him in exchange for sixth- and seventh-round picks in 2025.

A healthy scratch two weeks ago against the Vikings, Jackson signed a five-year, $82M contract with the Chargers this past offseason after spending his first four seasons in the league with New England. The interest on the Patriots’ end came to fruition with the news that rookie corner Christian Gonzalez who very well could have been a candidate for rookie of the year would be lost for the remainder of the season with a labrum stemming from a dislocated shoulder suffered this past Sunday.
