J.C. Jackson is heading back to the New England Patriots.

Wednesday, the Chargers and Pats agreed to a deal that would send the veteran corner back to where it all started for him in exchange for sixth- and seventh-round picks in 2025.

A healthy scratch two weeks ago against the Vikings, Jackson signed a five-year, $82M contract with the Chargers this past offseason after spending his first four seasons in the league with New England. The interest on the Patriotsโ€™ end came to fruition with the news that rookie corner Christian Gonzalez who very well could have been a candidate for rookie of the year would be lost for the remainder of the season with a labrum stemming from a dislocated shoulder suffered this past Sunday.
