According to the Jorge Milian of the Palm Beach Post who cites a U-M source, former Michigan QB Tate Forcier will transfer to the University of Miami (FL).

Forcier will be required to sit out the 2011 season per NCAA rules but will be eligible to play in the 2012 season. He has two more years of NCAA eligibility remaining.

Forcier reportedly had academic problems which made him academically ineligible for Michigan’s appearance at the Gator Bowl this past January. He also lost his starting job to Denard Robinson in 2010 after being named to the All-Freshman Big Ten team in 2009.
