It looks like the Jim Harbaugh era in Ann Arbor is coming to an end.

According to a report from ProFootballTalk.com, Harbaugh is set to become the next head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.

Via Chris Balas ot TheWolverine.com, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh heads to Minnesota for a Wednesday interview that will be a precursor to Harbaugh becoming the team’s next head coach.

Per Balas, multiple sources claim the Wednesday interview is a formality. Which makes sense, given that the interview is happening on national signing day.

Harbaugh also reportedly had an offer on the table from Michigan to extend his contract with the school and effectively make him one of the highest paid coaches in all of college football. However, it always seemed like his intentions were to go back to the NFL at sone point and perhaps there’s no better time for that to happen considering the Wolverines had their best season in a quarter century.

Despite the lack of constant success at Michigan, Harbaugh compiled a 44-19-1 record with the 49ers they also included a Super Bowl appearance.
