The Detroit Lions (0-0-0) debut their uptempo offense tonight when they take on Johnny Manziel and the Cleveland Browns (0-0-0) in week of one the NFL preseason.

Entering a new era under head coach Jim Caldwell, Lions QB Matthew Stafford is under a heavy microscope this year in what very well may be a make or break season. In 2013 the Lions were third third in the entire league when it came to passing yards however undisciplined play and inconsistencies in all aspects led to the firing of then head coach Jim Schwartz.

When it comes to the QB situation for the Browns, both Manziel and Brian Hoyer  split first team reps over the past few days however it’s anticipated that Hoyer will get the start tonight. Still though all eyes will be on Johnny Football who’s expected to enter the game at some point this evening.

Kickoff tonight is scheduled for 7:3oPM ET from Ford Field. You can watch the game live on ABC or listen live on 97.1 FM The Ticket. As always on you can track the game on both the Majors Detroit Facebook and Twitter Feeds.
