The Lions announced their 53 man roster on Saturday however that doesn’t mean the team isn’t done making moves.

After Aaron Brown made Saturday’s cut, it was announced Sunday that the third year running back would be released by the team. According to Phillip Zaroo it’s not clear who the Lions would sign to fill his spot.

The Lions also cut offensive lineman Chris Morris and filled his roster spot with 6-foot-3, 324-pound Jacque McClendon. McClendon was recently cut by the Indianapolis Colts and it’s expected that he will come in and help with the teams run blocking.

Receiver Nate Hughes and safety Ricardo Silva cleared waivers after being cut by the Lions on Sunday. It’s expected that they will be signed to the teams practice squad.

The Lions also signed Casey Bender to the practice squad. Bender, who is an offensive lineman, was originally signed to the Cleveland Browns after going undrafted in 2010.
