Lions

If it’s up to Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, who’ll probably have somewhat of a say in the matter, offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter would be returning to the team next season.

Stafford, who is coming off a 32-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers where he went 29/37 for 301 yards and two touchdowns told the Detroit Free Press that there’s ‘no question’ he’d like to see the Coots return. My nickname… not his.

“I just know we’re playing really well on offense right now and I’m having a good time,” Stafford said, via the Detroit Free Press. “I think everybody is. He’s a smart guy. It’s not my decision, but I’d like to have him back, no question.” (via Pro Football Talk)

Since firing Joe Lombardi in favor of Jim Bob, the Lions have gone 5-3 with Stat Padford looking good in the process. Granted this is all coming against the bottom rung of the NFL aside from Green Bay who looked phenomenal yesterday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Either way I guess it’s encouraging if the Lion are going to keep Mr. Kelly B. Hall around another season.
