Martin Mayhew finally won something…

Lions safety James Ihedigbo made an appearance at Lions headquarters in Allen Park today, appearing to end his offseason holdout in hopes of acquiring a pay bump this season.

Heading into the 2015 year Inhedigbo is on course to make $1.6M as part of a 2-year, $3.15M deal he signed with the Lions prior to last season. Inhedigbo also proved to be quite the bargain for Detroit finishing 2014 with four interceptions, three fumbles forced and two sacks while starting in 13 games.

Inhedigbo was certainly worthy of some kind of increase after those numbers. However given the way the players union allowed the League to basically have their way with them when it comes to contracts it’s not surprising the Lions haven’t yet budged. Either way, Mayhew has said that he would sit down with Inhedigbo if and when he reported to Allen Park. So I guess the ball is in the GM’s court now.
