The Lions continue to clean house on the second day of the roster thaw.
According to Lions.com’s Tim Twentyman the team released offensive guard Stephen Peterman after his third season with the team.

Peterman, who has started 86 games including 48 the past three seasons has often times come under criticism with fans whether it be for his lack of run blocking or tendency to draw a penalty.
With the release of Peterman, the Lions will roughly save $3.25 million next season.
In addition to Peterman, it looks as though the Lions will also waive goodbye to veteran DE Kyle Vanden Bosch. According to a report by Mike Garafolo of USA Today, sources have told the publication that the team will inform the 34-year-old Vanden Bosch on the move but spoke on a condition of anonymity due to it not being official as of yet.
Vanden Bosch’s release seems to be much more salary related as he was due $5 million next season while having two more years left on his contract at $8 million.
So who could be next?
It seems like no veteran is safe right now while Chris McCosky of the Detroit News speculates that C Dominic Raiola could be shown the door here soon.
