It was a history making day at Ford Field Sunday afternoon. Kicker Jason Hanson broke the NFL record for appearances on one team and the Lions set a franchise record for points in a game by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 48-3.

After surviving what shouldn’t have been a close game last week against the Buccaneers, the score very much reflected how the Lions played today. Lions QB Matthew Stafford looked very much like a first overall pick from a few seasons ago completing 23 of 39 passes for 294 yards and four touchdowns while the defense was able to come up with six Kansas City turnovers.

Stafford was able to hit Calvin Johnson on 1 and 15 yard touchdown passes, TE Tony Schefler on a 36 yard touchdown pass and Jahvid Best on a 9 yard touchdown pass.

Best also ran for a 1 yard touchdown and 57 total yards on the ground.
