Detroit

The Lions and Packers have officially been flexed to Sunday Night Football this coming weekend with a Wild Card spot on the line for potentially both teams.

This initially sounds great, the Lions getting a primetime game to finish out the regular season, yet this seems more like a move by the NFL to get the Packers in the playoffs. Remember, the Lions need the Rams to either beat or tie the Seahawks in their game Sunday which starts just before 4:30 pm EST. If the Seahawks end up pulling out a win though then the Packers will be playing a Lions team with essentially nothing to play for other than pride. The right move here is either keeping the Lions and Packers at 1 pm or better yet moving it to the same kickoff time as Rams/Seahawks and having both games run concurrently.
