Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press writes that Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom has once again been named a finalist for the Lady Byng award which recognizes sportsmanship at a high level playing ability.

Along with Lidstrom, the NHL announced that Dallas forward Loui Eriksson and Tampa Bay forward Martin St. Louis would also be in contention for the award which will be announced on June 22nd.

2011 is could potentially shape up to be a big year for Lidstrom. In addition to the Lady Byng trophy, Lidstrom also has a good chance at winning another Norris Trophy.
