Lions beat writer Tom Kowalski reports that Lions linebacker Zack Follett is no long with the Lions organization following a series of tweets on Follett’s Twitter page.
Follett who has been in Lions training camp after suffering a serious neck injury last season posted this tweet at about 9:45PM ET,
Respect to Schwartz, Mayhew, Lewand didn’t want to risk a life threatening injury after seeing my pain, Someone had to make the tough decision!
Less than an hour later according to Kowalski, Follett followed up with the following tweet,
Much as I fought to give it a go just wasn’t in His plan. No longer a Lion. God has me filled with plenty of Joy #Godbytheglory Thanks!
The Lions were not available for comment.
