Detroit Lions linebacker Justin Durant is currently undergoing tests to determine whether or not he can be medically cleared to play against the Cowboys this Sunday. This comes after Durant suffering a concussion at the hands of Minnesota Viking Kenny Onatula during last weekends 26-23 overtime victory.

Despite not practicing this week Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said he wouldn’t rule out Durant for this weekends game saying the team had tight end Tony Scheffler pass a concussion test on Friday last season.

“It’s not a situation you can work hard to get back quicker,” Schwartz said. “It’s not a situation where you can tough it out and go play.”

If Durant can’t go the Lions are expected to have Bobby Carpenter start in his place.
