Even though it’s only mid September, the injury bug already seems to be making it’s rounds within the Oakland University men’s basketball team.

According to Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free Press, All-Summit League guard Reggie Hamilton and swingman Drew Valentine both recently had surgeries that will keep them shelved for an extended period of time.

Hamilton (lump removed from chest) cannot resume strenuous physical activity for three weeks, while Valentine (loose cartilage removed from knee) may miss 6-to-8 weeks before it is known how well he is healing. That injury to Valentine could keep him out for the early portion of the season which begins on November 14th at Alabama.
