Here are some various noteworthy items from Lions training camp on Friday, August 5th.

  • Louis Delmas was held out of practice because he was getting an old screw removed from his ring finger. This isn’t considered serious and he should return to the field within a couple of days.
  • Other non participants in today’s practice include rookie wide receiver Titus Young who is suffering from an injured leg, offensive tackle, Gosder Cherilus, who has now missed five straight workouts and running back Maurice Morris who hasn’t practice since Tuesday when he hurt his hand.
  • Andre Fluellen who can play both defensive end and defensive tackle will play with a broken hand after getting it caught up in a face mask.
  • Tom Kowalski of Mlive.com writes that Chris Houston and Eric Wright have been the starting corners. Newly signed middle linebacker Stephen Tulloch has been playing outside linebacker with DeAndre Levy playing the inside.
  • Kowalski also writes that Eric Wright can’t seem to get around Calvin Johnson.
