University of Michigan receiver Darryl Stonum will have charges filed against him after his second DUI and driving on a suspended license. This is according to Lee Higgins of AnnArbor.com.

The misdemeanor charges were officially filed Tuesday by the Washtenaw County Prosecutors office and if convicted Stonum could face up to a year in jail.

Stonum’s first run in with the law in Ann Arbor took place back in September of 2008 when police charged him with operating a vehicle while visibly impaired. He was then jailed for three nights in 2010 for various probation violations.

Last week, Michigan head coach Brady Hoke left the door open for Stonum to return to the team but said he (Stonum)  must first “fulfill all his commitments he has to the legal system and our program.”

Stonum will be arraigned this Friday at 8AM ET at the 15th District Court in Ann Arbor in front of Judge Julie Creal.
