Kansas certainly proved they were a second half team Saturday night as they defeated Ohio State 64-62 Saturday night advancing to the National Championship Game against Kentucky.

After having a horrible first half that consisted of turnovers, the inability to get to the free throw line and a seemingly lifeless Thomas Robinson, Kansas pulled together in the second half to rally for the win.

In addition, Kansas dominated the interior and held Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger to a pathetic 5 of 19 from the field.

Ohio State though seemed poised to stave off the Kansas rally as they held a lead until less than three minutes remaining in the half.

However a series of plays towards the end of the game including Travis Releford’s free throws (which gave the Jayhawks their first lead since they were up 2-0 to open the game) and Jeff Withey block sealed things for Kansas. This also included Aaron Craft’s lane violation when he tried to intentionally miss a free throw attempt.
