According to the Detroit News, Michigan Athletic Director David Brandon has fired embattled head coach Rich Rodriguez Wednesday.
The Detroit News is citing a source that has knowledge of today’s meeting which is rumored to be an assistant coach on Rodriguez’s staff.
Brandon and Rodriguez met this morning around a 10:30AM ET at an undisclosed location, continuing a meeting that began yesterday at 2PM ET.
There is a players only meeting that was suppose to have taken place last night at 7PM ET that was delayed until 4PM ET Wednesday which was to discuss the future coaching situation with the players.
There is reportedly a 12:30PM ET news conference announcing the firing.
