All hell has broken loose in Green Bay that could result in a messy divorce between the Packers and one of the NFL’s greatest of all time in Aaron Rodgers.

According to multiple reports, things have gotten so bad between Rodgers and the Packers that the future Hall-of-Famer now wants out with him going as far as saying that trade or no trade he isn’t coming back.

The general belief was that the final straw was a contract dispute between Rodgers and the Packers who got into it over the issue of an extension for the 37-year-old and a restructuring.

Adam Schefter, however, notes that the issues run much deeper than that.

Rodgers is unhappy for a variety of reasons, with some of it dating to last year’s draft when the Packers didn’t inform him before trading up to draft a quarterback with their first-round pick. Some took this as a sign that his days in Green Bay could be numbered.

He also is at a different point in his personal life, having recently gotten engaged to actress Shailene Woodley. Rodgers also has hosted “Jeopardy!” and said it would be a dream to become the full-time host. He could play football and also host “Jeopardy!”

At this point right now there doesn’t seem to be any indication that the Packers are going to trade Rodgers. Especially considering the rumored offer that San Francisco threw at the Packers which included a multitude of players and picks for Rodgers something that Green Bay squashed.

At the end of the day, you can’t help but see where Rodgers is coming from with all of this. Despite him being 37, he’s still, an elite quarterback in the League, who since signing his four-year, $134 million contract extension is underpaid when juxtaposed to the other elite QB’s in the NFL. Not to mention since signing his extension, Rodgers has led the Packers to two straight NFC title games and won MVP. In return, the Packers gave Rodgers Jordan Love and absolutely zero help offensively.
