The official release of the 2012 NFL schedule is still some time away however a website called EagleStats (which looks to be a default blogspot blog) claims to have knowledge of accessing the leaked schedule which they did and posted on their site.

Now of course this whole thing could be a total fake but at the very same time the schedule and detail to everything looks very elaborate.

What’s interesting about it though for Lions fans are the number of Monday night games the team has in addition to a Sunday night game and it’s annual Thanksgiving Day game.

If the schedule is in fact true the Lions would OPEN up the regular season at home against the Green Bay Packers on September 10th as part of a Monday Night double-header.

A few weeks later they would the Seattle Seahawks at home for a Sunday Night broadcast on September 23rd before having another Monday night game on December 10th in Chicago against the Bears.

According to the leak the Lions will be playing the Houston Texans on Thanksgiving.

Again this can’t be taken as the truth but I don’t think it can totally be written off as a total fake either.
