So Melvin Gordon may actually play for the Chargers this Sunday when they take on the Dolphins.

This news came about Friday after Gordon ended his holdout with LA earlier in the week and running back depth all of a sudden became an issue for the Chargers with the injury to Justin Jackson.

NFL.com:

As the Chargers‘ Week 4 game against the host Dolphins draws near, there’s now a chance Gordon could return to the playing field.

“I’ve said all along there’s a chance,” Chargers coach Anthony Lynn told the media on Friday. “He’s looked fine. He’s in good shape, but he hasn’t been practicing football, so obviously he’s not ready to go back in there and carry the load right now but you never know, he may have to.”

It’s assumed that Gordon is still at least another week from taking most of the reps so Austin Ekeler fantasy owners like myself can enjoy another game before carries may become an issue. Nonetheless though the Chargers should be pretty set at running back despite the injury to Jackson given they way Ekeler (and Jackson as well) have been able to fill in for the idle Gordon.
