A big game produced three big points for Detroit City FC Saturday night as the Le Rouge earned themselves a 1-0 road win over rival Chattanooga.

After a scoreless first half which saw both squads trade chances, City’s efforts finally paid off in the 77′ when centerback Jalen Crisler scored off of a James Vaughan corner. From there Detroit was able to hold whatever Chattanooga was able to muster also thanks in part to defender Tendai Jirira who was named the Man of the Match at the end of night.

The win for City keeps them undefeated (4-1-0) in NPSL Members Cup play with 13 points, four points behind the New York Cosmos but with two games in hand.

Detroit will return to action this Tuesday against the Michigan Stars from Keyworth before taking to the road once again to face the Cosmos in Uniondale next Saturday.
