During last night’s “A Moment of With Bliss” segment on RAW, former Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss unveiled a set of Women’s Tag Division titles after some time of speculation that the WWE would do just that.

According to the reports, the first champions will be crowned in an Elimination Chamber match during the Elimination Chamber PPV next month. Furthermore, there will apparently be three teams from RAW and three from Smackdown competing yet it’s unclear if the champions will appear on both brands as it seems evident the WWE will only be releasing this single set for the division.

Via WWE.com:

This time around, two teams will start the bout while the remaining four duos remain enclosed in pods. At specified intervals, a pod will open at random, enabling a new team to enter the match. This will continue until all six pairs have joined the bout. If one member of a team gets eliminated at any time via pinfall or submission, both members of the team are eliminated and must leave the contest. The last tag team standing will be declared the winner and the first-ever Women’s Tag Teams Champions.

It’s an interesting concept the WWE is introducing and the Women’s division is certainly deserving of the titles. However I wouldn’t hold your breath in terms of the creativity surrounding the new division since the WWE has been half-assing the men’s tag division for more than 15 years now.
