Monday Adidas and the Golden State Warriors unveiled a new alternate uniform that will be form fitting and feature sleeves to go along with pinstripes on the shorts.

According to a report out of the Mercury News, the jersey’s are being called the “the adizero NBA short sleeve uniform system,” which apparently be 26-percent lighter than the traditional NBA jersey and have moisture absorbing feature. To add the jersey is also made from 60 percent recycled materials which may be the most useful feature of the new kit.

Overall though these new digs are horrendous and tend to remind me of other forgettable innovations such as the softball shorts used by the Chicago White Sox or the different colored shorts used by the Washington Wizards.

Golden State will break out the new jerseys during a February 22nd game against San Antonio which will be aired live on ESPN.
