Lions rookie defensive end Ziggy Ansah was very limited in practice all week due to a concussion but is expected to play in today’s opener against the Minnesota Vikings. However he will not start and Willie Young is expected to take the first snaps with the first team defensive line.
At wide receiver, Ryan Broyles will be an inactive due to a lingering knee injury while Nate Burleson and Patrick Edwards are expected to be the options behind Calvin Johnson.
At running back, Mikel Leshoure is a healthy inactive in favor of Joique Bell who will play behind free agent acquisition Reggie Bush.
