Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub finished Sunday’s game looking more like he’d just had a fight with Mike Tyson rather than playing against the Denver Broncos.
Now Evander Holyfield and Schaub have something in common.
During the game, Schaub took a vicious and illegal hit from Broncos defender Joe Mays that resulted in the Houston QB losing part of his earlobe…
After the hit, Schaub lay on the ground for a bit before walking off the field under his own power looking at the Denver players with obvious contempt.
Schaub eventually returned to the game and didn’t complete a pass for the next two offensive series. Still that’s toughness for ya…
Houston also went on to win the game 31-24 and Schaub finished 17 of 30 for 290 yards, 4 touchdowns, 1 interception and one missing earlobe.
I’m sure though Joe Mays will be receiving a phone call from Roger Goodell very soon.
