The Lions currently lead the Packers this afternoon 12-7 while keeping Aaron Rodgers relatively in check. This has been in large part to the Lions bringing a heavy pass rush which in turn resulted in a sack of Rodgers with the help of Detroit linebacker Stephen Tulloch. The problem though was Tulloch getting a little overzealous on the ensuring celebration appearing to hurt his knee on the turf.
Obviously this brings back memories of former NFL QB (and Lion) Gus Frerotte head butting the wall and injuring his neck during a touchdown celebration while with Washington. Lets also not forget Arizona Cardinals kicker Bill Gramatica injuring himself while celebrating back in 2001.
UPDATE: Tulloch can be seen on the sideline in a t-shirt and shorts with ice over the knee. He’s obviously out for the rest of the game.
