In most cases, fans sitting in the front rows usually are the one’s stealing foul balls (or home runs) from players on the team they are cheering for. I’m sure we all remember (especially Cubs fans) the Steve Bartman incident in the 2003 NLCS where Bartman  interfered with a foul ball that Cubs outfielder Moises Alou was tracking.

Saturday night was  a different case at Chase Field when the Diamondbacks were hosting the Padres.

An unidentified Padres fan truly defined loyalty to his team when he was able to snag a foul ball away from Diamondbacks outfielder Justin Upton.

Now of course this wasn’t as high-profile as the Jeffery Maier incident in the 1996 World Series but the way this guy carried himself after the play maybe makes him one of the biggest bad asses among all Padres fans.

Unfortunately for this Padres fans, his team ended up losing to the D-Backs 3-1.
