Even though Victoria’s Secret hasn’t been known for producing sports apparel, the company began to engage themselves into the market a few years ago.
And you have to give them credit.
They’ve provided a sports outlet for women in a heavily male centered market.
Yet, if they continue to partake in the sports apparel industry they may want to start investing in individuals that know something about sports, specifically college sports.
The company recently released a Michigan State Spartans t-shirt that had “Spartans” written on the front with the Spartan logo on the back.
Nothing wrong with, right?
However, underneath “Spartans” on the front reads “Hail to the Victors”, which of course is the fight song for rival Michigan.
Now you would think that this is something that someone in the company would eventually catch, but that wasn’t the case. CNBC sports business reporter Darren Rovell noticed it and pointed it out to Victoria’s Secret who removed the shirt from their website.
It’s not known how many of these shirts were able to get out but if you did manage to get your hands on one it will surely be a collector’s item.
