With the addition of Urban Meyer, the battles for recruit between Michigan and Ohio State should continue to intensify over the upcoming years.

With that said, there may currently be a battle in hand for four-star running back recruit Bri’onte Dunn of Canton Ohio.

As of right now, Dunn is committed to Ohio State University however the addition of Urban Meyer as the head coach may have Dunn rethinking his commitment. Meyer’s system includes a spread offense which isn’t desirable for Dunn who wants to run out of the I-formation, which is traditionally a pro style formation.

According to Tom Van Haaren of WolverinesNation on ESPN.com, Dunn is going to sit down with Meyer to see what he has to say…

“Meyer said at his introductory news conference that he wanted to run a spread with some I-formation aspects,” Van Haaren writes. “He also made it apparent that he wanted to keep the recruiting focus on Ohio.

“Dunn will be getting an in-home visit from Meyer and also will be getting a visit from Michigan coaches Jeff Hecklinski and Fred Jackson. What happens with Dunn’s recruitment likely will hinge on the conversations he has this week with the two schools. He plans on enrolling early, so a decision either way will have to come soon.”
