The Detroit Tigers announced today that they’ve avoided arbitration with both Rick Porcello and Phil Coke.
Porcello, who opted out of his contract a couple of weeks ago agreed to a one-year deal with an estimated $3.1 million dollars. If he didn’t opt out of the deal he would’ve made around $1.344 million stemming from his rookie contract terms.
For Phil Coke, the two sides agreed on a $1.1 million base salary with $50K in incentives for appearances or starts. This is according to MLBTradeRumors.com.
Don Kelly, Max Scherzer and Delmon Young are the remaining arbitration eligible players for the Tigers.
