Rams tight end Tyler Higbee has a agreed to a new four-year extension the team has announced.

Entering the final season of his rookie deal after being taken in the fourth-round of the 2016 Draft, Higbee was on par to make just over $2 million this upcoming season and is among a group of players who the Rams will need to look to re-sign. Linebacker Cory Littleton, cornerback Marcus Peters and edge rusher Dante Fowler are also scheduled to become free agents after this upcoming season.

Higbee — whose extension comes just two days after the Rams gave starting quarterback Jared Goff an extension of his own — caught 24 passes for LA last season for two for touchdowns while averaging 12.2 yards per catch.
