Detroit

Sunday, the Pistons and forward Bojan Bogdanović agreed to a two-year, $39.1 million dollar extension which will presumably keep him in Detroit through the 2024-25 season.

The 33-year-old Bogdanović has been averaging 23 points on 51.7% field goal percentage in the first six games of the season. He’s been a key piece for a young but talented Pistons squad that hasn’t let up on offense but has struggled enormously on the defensive side of the court.

Nonetheless, it’s been an interesting go-around for Bogdanović.

The Pistons largely weren’t expected to be a team that would pursue the veteran in the offseason yet Troy Weaver was able to swoop into the conversation and essentially steal the productive forward not only from the Jazz but contenders around the league who were in hot pursuit.

This is a move you should love to see if you’re a Pistons fan though. Despite the rough start to the season, the team has plenty of young pieces in place. The time seems now to mix in a quality veteran presence.
