Today the Phillies ended Bryce Harper watch as they signed arguably the most coveted free agent this offseason to a massive 13-year deal worth $330 million dollars.

ESPN’s Jeff Passan was the first to relay to the news:

The deal itself eclipses the 10-year, $300 million dollar contract Manny Machado signed last week with the Padres and is $5 million more than the Giancarlo Stanton contract with the Yankees.

What a swift kick in the nuts though for Nationals fans. Not only is their best player in franchise history walking out the door but he’s now going to a division rival who you’ll play a series against almost every single month during the regular season in 2019.
